    PVC Landing gear

Ultra thing PVC - not Sch40 or 80, although the connectors weigh MORE - and they may come off after I learn to heat-bend this stuff.

    Video forthcoming.

    That's the point

That and as you saw in the last video, the GOPro was on the ground literally, needed to raise this up.

For heatbending you can either fill the pipe with sand or use a bendingspring:

Rubbing the pipe warm before the bend improves the bend. Don't overheat it with a heatgun.

    Oooh that's a good idea!

I used a heat gun the first time, did OK but it collapsed b/c I didn't have a spring in it. It took a bit of heat to get it to bedn though.

Derrick - I'm actually thinking of converting it to an H-Quad, get that extra motor of lifting power!

I like the skid idea but I think on mine it would still bump the GoPro on the ground. - can you measure for me how tall it is - and did you put your own aluminum pipe in or did it come with it?

Somewhere I think I have a spare landing gear set from my Raptor 30 helicopter, guess it's time to climb into the attic.

I will measure it tonight... there is just enough room underneath to hang my FPV cam. You have to buy both the parts that I linked to, the sum of the two is $3.37 plus shipping. I would like to make a version two of this build that incorporates RCExplorer's new anti-vibe mount.

Sorry... Didn't get to measuring. I will though.
When nothing else out there will suit your needs... design and build it yourself.
