Hey guys I am working on some motor prop combo's to go with a new custom motor bracket.
This is the ZXL wingtips with a center pod to go between them.

The wings are the same ratios as the Zeph, the mini can be built without the pod to 24'' , or with the pod at 31''
You can also build the pod farther forward if you want to go uber lite gear, the wings are so stout that they can be lam filmed or not dep on what you are looking for.
My Goal was to make the ZXL 81'' and fun little sport wing that interchanged with some other parts . I wasnt gearing it toward fpv, I was really thinking a fun little park flyer , or nite flyer, but at this point there is the whole micro sport fpv starting to roll now,
I will show you what I am up to as I go.

Alright.. after watching the good Doctor rip around with his mini.. i couldn't wait any more.. I ordered my power setup from HK to match his.

While I wait for my ESC and motor to come in, I threw down some paint and started working on my wiring harness. Not sure how this will work out, given that I haven't built this small before, but i'm really enjoying working with something that actually fits on my desk.. lol. Having the 3 foam parts split up makes it easier to cut out my extra openings and melt my wiring channels.

Here's the tiny LC filter I made to go on my power supply just before my 12v camera. (ptz420.. whatever.. the awesome $40 sc2000 one I always use... great little cam for the money)

Here's the cutout I knifed for the camera. Simply used the extra foam bit as a fairing for my flight camera. Nice fit!

I often just hot-glue a simple coro backing on my board cameras so that it's light and has a nice flat backing. Later i'll add the camera's OSD plug in there permanently so that I can always tweak the settings after the build is done.

Set into place.. a great fit! sleek!

Another view of how the camera sits embedded into the airframe. I'll probably fill that gap with more hotglue or something... I want this plane to be relatively water resistant, given how wet it gets out here in van.

A gap melted in to accommodate my LC filter.

Camera wired for power. I'll run the video line in the opposite direction of the battery bay for separation.

Component bay for my 5.8 vtx melted into place, velcro hotglued to the bottom.

At the end of a few hours, i've got my FPV setup wired, camera is glued into place (haven't tested it yet.. trusting that sc2000 didn't send me a dud...hope that doesn't bite me in the ass.. :P)
Cheap HK OSD wired and velcroed into the component bay. All wires routed. Pass-Through melted for the motor wires to go into the component bay.. it'll be interesting to see whether I can fit an ESC and the Rx into that bay, or if I'll have to move the ESC into the right wing instead. I have a feeling that the EzUHF 4CH RX lite will be smaller than the cheapo HK 6ch rx i'm currently using as a stand-in.. but I won't know until it gets here... sassen?

Anyways.. that's it for now.. While I wait for my esc and motor to get here, I'll cut my motor mount slot, glue the halves together and get the spars into place. I'll probably make my own winglets to give them that certain "chicken sashimi" flavor and maybe, just maybe I'll have her done in time to maiden this coming weekend... They're calling for sunshine!
