    That's a pain. Our tv remote was rattling for a while. Got bored and opened it up and the shiny (capacitor) tube fell out just like yours. However, our tv remote still works fine!!!
    Hope you fix it soon, should be a fairly easy fix if you've got a small soldering iron.

    Usually its a TX issue if you are getting static on all channels. If you are supplying >7V to the TX and you have a red LED there should be at least one channel with a blank screen (if camera isn't connected).
    Photos of the TX connected to the battery which clearly shows details will help.

    This weekend will try to fix this. Since it is that small I won't try it myself. I am not that experienced with the solder tool, so I've asked a friend....

    fixing the camera won't solve your static on all channels problem. is that still persisting? Have you tried cycling the power to the TX?

    can you explain what you mean by 'cycling the power'?

    happy as one can be, that was indeed the problem. we've managed to solder it, so we are back in business. everything is working great. topic closed....
