    Hi,

I would just check if you don't end up needing a LC Filter.
The other thing for long range I would probably gone for 4S setup. So you could carry probably 15Ah and cruise current is so low that it's still efficient enough...
Or you probably got other reasons for 6s setup?
The wing can carry a lot of load so 10Ah 6S is not and issue, I just think you get more range with 4S...
Apart from that the X8 is good to cruise around, handles well. But for rolls and loops you should reinforce the wing...

This is supposed to be a long range/endurance bird.

Skip the digital servos and get hitec hs645mg . . . they are much less "noisy" to your rc system.
I have found ccbec's to be noisy as well, at minimum use a lc filter. I would choose a different power supply. here is a link to a psu that I saw man2000me use.
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...y_12_23v_.html this one is only rated to 5s though.

2500mw vtx will kill your rc range get WAY TOO HOT and is not effective. . . . 500-800mw is more than enough for some serious range.

just how far are you flying that you will need 2500mw?
You've seen the experts go 10-20 MILES on 500mw - why ask for trouble with that much power?
I've done 4 miles with crystal clear video on 500mw....using a 14dbi patch - although I could have used an 8dbi.

The math may say a lot of things but ther'es a lot of experienced people that will say it's overkill.

2.5w is a little overkill, at max use 1.5w.
Also the 170 degree lens is way overkill, use at max a 140 degree one.

Here's the way I see it. with a 170, you would think that you would be able to have a wider field of view, but in reality the edges of the image are so bent that it just looks weird.

Here's what is on my lil EZStar, also built with the "Best" equipment:

SecurityCamera2000 2.8mm lens sitting on a servo that I RARELY ever use.
TBS PSU to supply 12/5v power
Tiny OSD - and it is Tiny but I sure love that thing, dead on reliable as anything!!
    500mw Lawmate
EZUHF Lite - (If anything was to get upgraded it "Might" be this but a dipole antenna is going on it very soon to eliminate any concern).
Total cost about $450 including hte plane, Park480 etc

SIMPLE IS BEST and this plane, ask anyone here i fly with always sits at 100% ready state to fly.

I plan to push this plane out to 8 miles very soon....on a 4000mah battery.

I know ya got the plane to carry all that stuff but if you put the above stuff in there you'd weigh a lot less and could go a lot further and then maybe have room for an FY31 in case you get in trouble.
I don't know how much FPV flying you have done but I wouldn't even ATTEMPT at using that tracker for about 3-6 months, once you realize you don't need it you may never use it...

Those are good antenna's you got though, I am just saying if you dropped down to the 650mw you could go just as far and not worry about any electronic EMI.

WildWill used a 1.3ghz 400mw RMRC to fly 8 miles with crystal clear video.

    OK that's all

yes, do try things out. You got to figure out what works for your setup, and the way you fly it

Did you cover it with the CF looking sheets or did it come molded that way?
