    Ren,

Since the cropping issue is fixed I'm tempted to give this a try. I am however less forgiving than the usual customer and typically put a product through the wringer. Do you think I'll be satisfied with this as a worthy replacement of my trusty Mini-DV camcorder? I'd welcome your comments before placing the order.

    Cheers,

I'm flying with mine tomorrow if you can wait, i'll upload the vid. My sony camcorder has died so this is hopefully it's replacement. It might be a short vid though, the maiden of my 66" blunt Zephyr

Great! As for the Zephyr maiden, try not to stand on the wire antenna during launch, I've seen Trappy do that a few times with a 4m antenna prior to him switching to EzUHF, launches don't really get less successful than that

That would be good to see
I might use a 100 meter long antenna, then I can stand on it and use it as RTH

The new firmware has made the screen excellent, the osd info is now inside the edge, looks good.

Looks like Ren has added a bit of a custom screen on power down.

I wanted to be sure that everything is in order and that the downloaded/extracted file was in perfect working order right up to the reflash.

Reset your XY offsets to 0/0

The reflash was drop-dead simple. I'm a little confused by the last sentence. Does this mean that it automatically resets the XY offsets to 0/0 or that we have to somehow manually reset the offsets to 0/0? I didn't see a menu option related to the offsets.

Here is a sample video showing the fixed screen resolution. I recorded at the highest bitrate at 640x480. The aspect ratio look correct. Don't use this as a judge for the video quality because I didn't bother to aim my helical and there is tons of wifi interference in my house. I also just got up when I made this- the things I do for FPV...

There is no cropping on the edges of the dvr. This looks like a real winner for the FPV community.

I think the offsets X & Y he is talking about are the DOSD safezone offsets because a bit of the osd data was off the edge before the firmware update.

    Nice ,downloaded..;-)
and yes it's about X/Y offset for DOSD..so you setup properly and got all readings visible.
