You got to be kidding... 2kg??? Is that instead of all the scale stuff weight for test #2, or even with the scale stuff you'll have to add weight for correct balance?
I'm no good at helis weight-to-size to predict how much they can lift, but geez, even on that size of a machine 2kg dead weight sounds like 20 tons too heavy for me...
If you're a noob, copy 1:1 what somebody already flies without too much questions, you'll find the answers later.

you are flying it LOS... You are doing it wrong.

    AH-6Z Littlebird Night-Ops build project

2kg is the weight of the scale body plus pilots etc give or take, so to get realistic figures for setting up the FBL that's what I've added. If it was to correct CG then of course I simply would have added much less weight further from the CG

It's an AUW of around 7Kg, last time she flew I came up with flight time prediction of around 12 minutes on the 12S 5300mah. Power wise, it'd happily lift many times that. Last test I saw on something with this sort of motor (and just 2 blades) managed to lift something like 18kg on top of its own weight. Obviously would have flown like crap though lol.

    Good neeeeeews everyone...

Them there links turned up and are now installed, I ran through the ace one setup again and it's all ready and waiting.

So now I just need some spare time to take it off somewhere suitable to test (crash?) it. With the plan of using the training gear until I know the Ace One is working I really need a large hard surface that the balls can slide along rather than grass and mud where it can just get stuck and make me cry, limits my options a bit as obviously a 7kg monster heli isn't something you can just go and fly anywhere.

If it all ends badly this time, I'm quitting FPV and RC and taking up golf.

And after about 3 holes, you'll quit that and go back to RC

(seriously, with RC I've never actually thrown my equipment while screaming... in golf I have)

Just make sure to take it easy and have your finger on the throttle hold switch. No positive pitch until you're absolutely sure everything is working as intended and you should be fine

Look at me... Giving Zee advice... What the hell am I thinking LOL
    Cheers,

You haven't been doing FPV long enough then lol.

I have actually played golf since about the age of 8, even went on holidays golfing with my dad. Although I haven't played for the last few years.

Anyway, we'll see how it all goes. I'm not sure when I'll have the time to go find somewhere suitable though.... hopefully not too long.

Golf??? I'd rather start ballet wearing tights....
Take your time Zee, no rush, whenever you ready, we have waited for 2 years so another half a year won't do any harm
