    MULTIROTOR PROPS DISCUSSION

So i am finishing the assemble of my F450 (with Naza), and i read all over the world that the DJI Props are terrible.
In search of a decent substitute, i digged arround and i found a lot of setups, but none really clear about "why" or "wich" one is the best.

So i would like to ask to you guys that already have experience with that if you can share your findings here. Also, if possible to list the place you bought them.

Oh, by the way, dont forget to tell if you use a 3S or 4S setup, and maybe we can get a good knowledge base here to everyone.

    apc 11x4.7 on DT750 motors on a 3S system.

Monkey recommended them and they are nice.

Trappy was talking about some Graupners but they are fragile if you hit something...

I've read that GemFan props are good. Apparently these are Gemfan props (black and green props lower down on the page)

    Love the Graupner E-Props
How many engineers does it take to change a light bulb?
    3. One to hold the light bulb and two to turn the ladder.

The problem with a lot of the props used on multirotors, is that they are not rated for the speed that we run them at. For instance the APC slow-fly props are rated to somewhere between 5-6k RPM. Your multirotor will likely be spinning them as fast as 8-11k RPM. This is probably the main reason that props imploding during flight is so common with multirotors.

I just ordered Master Airscrew 3 bladed props which are rated for speeds well above what my hex can achieve (~11-13k if memory serves). I will report back on their performance.

Another thing to consider is if you lose one of three blades, the prop will still fly albeit unbalanced.

I am a fan of these
I have literally hit things during flight many times, they just bend and come back... They are also very light yielding better stability for your copter.
They also feel much safer than the APCs because they carry much less energy and are more flexible.

at the price, I will probably never use anything else.

Interesting Roberto... very interesting indeed. Is it easy to make them fit into DJI motors?

I've heard and seen EPP, especially EPP1045 become brittle and snap under load. Your comments about it popping back without damage is suprising.
