    Aussie FPVers

    Hey all,

So I thought I would create a place where us Aussies can share our news and views of our adventures down under!

So if you are an Aussie, come in, pull up a chair and have a nag.

    Cheers

    Evening.... Good idea.

Just starting out myself, had a couple of flights with a very small setup. Next plane will have a better camera hopefully head tracking.

I'm in Brisvegas. I know there are one or two on here from Brissy. Would love to catch up and fly with some guys, right now it seems like I'm the only one interested in FPV at my local club.
Having said that, nobody told me to put my goggles away yet either ;-)

I'm from Brisbane too. Upper kedron. I Fly at my local park - i would rather die than be associated with a rc club. Happy to be a part of any meet. I can think of a few nice places to fly.

Lol... Some are worse than others. I don't mind it for the other types of flying I do.
Have you had any council grief flying at the park?

A meet would be awesome. Next few weekends are out for me but we should keep in touch and arrange something.

Not at all. But that said the council hasn't come down to visit... Yet. Lots of guys fly at this park, mostly park flyers, gliders and some wings. No other fpv. Must be why they think I'm some sort of terrorist when I'm setting up, but when they have had a look through the goggles they normally say words to the effect of "hot damn where did you get this? how much does it cost, and is it had to fly?" Good times. My suggestions for scenic flying are the Enoggera reservoir ( great for quads), sand gate beach ( great for video of the coast, distance attempts to the nearby island etc) and Mt Coota, which from the summit would give a perfect position for a flight all the way to the city centre and back. Not sure of the effect the nearby TV transmitters may have on reception though.
