good man AtariJoe - I'll go in with you on that if there's something we can do ... I sent him a PM on RCG (hasn't posted here in awhile)... don't really know him, but sounds like he's in high school.

sorry to hijack your thread chicken =)

**edit: awesome chicken & fresh ... if taiping gets back to us, i'll move this to his own thread ...

    Hey guys
Thanks for the thoughts, I'll try and find pics of the plane, the center is basically gone so don't think rebuild will be possible
Here's my damaged list of partss

    Go pro HD 1
    Layerlens
    Zephyr frame
    2x 3000mah zippy
    Go pro and skid kit
    Eagle tree OSD

The motor, esc TBS 69, rangelink RX all seem okay.

    Damn.. what a mess!

Can you tell us how it happened? Your batteries just spontaneously shorted or what?

Well I wasn't there when it happened (doing a range test for the LRS) but i just saw black smoke and ran to it with a fire extinguisher, i didn't connect the video system at the time, i had a 1300mah 3s for video and i believe that that was what shorted as it is missing from the wreckage.

I'm pretty surprised that the TBS cam (right beside go pro) is alive and working, guess the main damage is the airframe as the motor and esc all tested okay on the bench. On the good side, I'm now taking flying lessons on a 1975 Cessna 172M for a Private Pilots License
