    Hi... greetings to all

I'm currently on f450 ARF kit for the past few months and just recently purchased the famous TBS Discovery. Now waiting for Trappy to send it fast as soon as it is available I feel pumped to try the disco out!

With my current setup (F450 ARF kit, boscam 5.8 500mw vtx, gopro for fpv cam, 3s 2600 mah, 3s 500 mah for vtx, graupner 10x5), im quiet happy with the performance so far on both ATTI and manual mode. i even use 3s 5000mah for a slow and relaxing FPV.

Been reading through this thread and there are people who has used all the dji electronics on the disco and non has been unhappy or complaining about it. reasoning for upgrades on the motors/ESCs are mainly to get a better performance and quality/durability. however if there are any others aside from the mentioned reason, hope to hear on it.

I dropped by at my LHS, and saw these motors and the deal was good.. looking at the specs, it fits great. anyone has tried these motors before? and should i opt for an upgrade on these motors, would the dji ESC mix well with it?

    cheers

I would wait till you get setup first.

The Disco is heavier than the DJI frame obviously it's larger but the performance isn't that much different.

Personally I was ready to upgrade the motors before I got the disco frame.

Yeehaa!!... Made it to 100 flights!! With 5 crashes due to 3 exploding props. 1 GPS screwup and 1 pilot error, I would say that a 5% crash rate is quite acceptable! Love this Quad!!! Thanks TBS for such a wonderful frame

Here is the 100th video of the series :

CowboyZ99: congratulations on 100 videos. I watched almost all of them have you thought about editing together a "best of"?

Up until now, I've been too busy flying to edit videos it's in the plans to make a couple of best of. Waiting on a couple of rainy days. The weather has been too nice lately. No time to install the CORE, power distribution for the cams and vtx, shorten the motor wires, change the top plate, find a better mounting solution for the camera gimbal (tilt & roll) and most of all get rid of the jello when flying at high speed. Jello at hover and slow speed seems ok now All those future mods don't stop me from dancing disco As I always say, it's a "long term project"

londonguy, they're definitely among the better motors
Will those motors be available in the tbs store?
How many engineers does it take to change a light bulb?
    3. One to hold the light bulb and two to turn the ladder.

So tonight I did a little gentle flying just to see how the TBS Discovery liked the 4s on Graupner 10 x 5's, On the whole I like it but I need to fly it a bit harder next time out to see how it performs!.
