I have it installed and know how to launch it.

It fails to update without the Silicon Labs 210x drivers, but Linux typically does not need 3rd party drivers. so i am wondering if this "requirement" can be avoided.

I tried to install the Silicon Labs 210x drivers. I successfully ran the make (makefile), but instructions say to copy cp210x.so to a folder that does not exist (.../serial). if i create the folder and copy it there, the instructions still want me to insmod a usbserial.ko file which does not exist (as if S.L.'s instructions are incorrect or incomplete).

I have my rapidFire updated through a Windows VM, but i hate that. Anyone know the solution, to running the updater successfully on Linux?
