Antenna Extension Cable- Can the same be used for 2.4 & 5.8?

Hi All,
Currently in progress building my Mini Talon FPV rig and would like the flexibility to switch between 5.8ghz for short-medium range FPV flying to 2.4ghz for longer range. I'm running crossfire for my control link so no clashes in terms of frequency. My question is whether a standard 5.8ghz coax extension cable is compatible with 2.4ghz.
