RMRC Recruit on 4S battery and Prop selection.

I have found the Recruit to be slightly sluggish and would like a little more vertical. I fly most of the time a 1/2 throttle so I am not looking for any more speed. What I would like is some power in reserve for vertical maneuvers.

I have a4S on order and that should give me 33% more battery capacity. Now know the motor will have the capacity to turn faster but if I like the speed now that is what the left stick is for.

Prop selection; Any one try different props??? I will probably switch to a 2 blade in the 6-7" range?

    Thoughts?

BTW this place is dead along with all of the other forums.

FWIW. I found switching to a 4S and a 6x5.5E 2 blade to be the best setup. Use the upper half of the throttle stick for "Burst power only" and the plane flies great. If my Tx had a spring loaded switch I would use that for the burst power setting. I test flew it today and the vertical is great for just the few seconds it is needed. There is no down side if you remember to stay out of the throttle just like driving a Hi powered car.

There is a time and place for everything.

If you stay out of the throttle you will get a 33% boost in flight time

Yep things pretty dead on most forums compared to a couple years ago. I thought you was dead also!!!!

If you buy cheap package and fly and crash it you donít care. If you buy more expensive package you know it all so,,,,,,,
