After a long absence, I'm slowly getting back into FPV. I was tempted to buy a Mavic Air as it fits my requirements for mainly travel videos, but I just can't get myself to spend that much on a multirotor, and I do prefer DIY to RTF. Also, I prefer to use my Taranis and goggles for flying, not a DJI controller and tablet screen.
So I'm looking for suggestions for a DIY video platform with similar capabilities to the Mavic Air.
Some requirements & nice to haves:
- Gimbal HD cam setup
- Autonomous modes such as follow me, point of interest, panorama/sphere photos
- Fly from Taranis
- 5.8GHz video (although HD link would be nice)
- FC with RTH and perhaps preset flightpath capabilities
- 20 minutes flying time or more
As I said I've been out of the hobby for a while (a few years in fact), so I'm not up to date on the latest and greatest equipment. Can anyone give me some suggestions?
