    Question RE: the HobbyKing/FCC rabbithole

So , we now see HK's immediate response/retaliation to the FCC threat and that being in the US we see
We are sorry, this product is not available in your country
on about 90% of all the transmitters. Does anybody have any reliable intel on whether HK is going to offer any of these transmitters after modded, or perhaps as a new "US" version.

With the FCC, they simply dont care , being a paper organization meaning if there are enough complaints, er bellyachers, they will simply go after the entity that will net them the most money (ie Huge distributor rather than the nitpicky small manufacturers).. They've been that was since the CB /linear amp era where they were vastly outnumbered by the offenders and were quite ineffective using their 'monitor vans' trying to catch them so they now just go for high dollar lawsuits

In this instance an even larger entity (HK) simply stopped selling these transmitters to anyone in the US...maybe hoping that if enough people complained that they now are deprived of the nice technology that was available economically ...and now isnt in the US that the FCC would back down(which I am sure they wont).
That would again leave the good ole US at the bottom of the technology totem pole (except for military or gov )...

Just wondering if there was any workarounds?
I've survived a plane crash... flipped off monitor...went and got plane...

You could try to use a VPN and simulate that you are in another country. But probalby they won't ship it to you.
But there are other pages like banggood and since they are in china they probably don't care about the FCC.
