    Ritewing Drak aka MESA DRAGUN

Hi everyone, finally cleared out the spare room so i can start building the Drak from Ritewing.

Been very busy and simply haven't had the time to concentrate on it until recently, so thought i would start a build thread here and will update it as a go along.

Special thanks to Chris to sending me an awesome kit, just awesome quality and thank you for sending me some bonus goodies.

Love the size of this plank, its just what i wanted..not to small and not too big..its just right.

Heres some pics and will add some more once my electronics, etc arrive.

Going to chop the nose off this week and mount the camera housing and once my servos arrive i can start to laminate the wings, just not sure if i want to paint them yet, i can't decide on a color...but i do have an awesome orange that has been sitting here for awhile so i might use that for the edges and black the wings.

Does anyone have the landing skids installed on their Drak?

Just wanted to ask what the best glue would be to use?

Dang, every time someone puts together another of these planks, I seriously think about ordering one. Perhaps in a few months. Tagged so I can watch this one come together.

Did you order or print that nosecone?

    Really enjoying building this Drak.

Its great to be able to watch the youtube videos and follow everything step by step.

Got the motor mount gooped in, and currently doing the wings and elevons.

Will flip the wings over later tonight and goop the rest of the glass in for i did the bottoms early this morning.

Have the plastidip ready to paint the wings and elevons tomorrow.

Now getting ready and building up the courage to chop the nose off...

Getting some paint onto the Dragun now, nothing fancy just some black and a little orange for the trailing edges on the wings, and will be a little bit on the underbelly.
I'm leaving the top of the fuse as is.

Bungee hook is fitted although i wont be using a bungee, its just there for a skid.

I know maybe one day i'll have a bungee but that would be in the future sometime.
Thanks for the bungee hook Chris.

I need to touch up the paint around the bungee hook for i had masking tape around it.

Getting ready to laminate for the first time, elevons are ready and of course using the laminate supplied by Ritewing.

Had my laminate arrive from Team Legit today, very fast postage so was wrapped that arrived, now i can laminate the wings and the fuse this weekend.

Just waiting on my servos and ETV.

I'm having trouble deciding on a motor..880kv/950kv...i was thinking of the T-Motor AT3520-880Kv. Is that a good one or is there something better out there at the moment?

    What are you guys running?

    Thanks Chris.

The lam doesn't look so good on one wing, i had the iron too hot, but the right wing's black and orange pop out much better.
