    1.3GHZ X-AIR Ground Station Antenna?

Hi everyone, currently choosing 1.3ghz fpv components for my Ritewing Drak build, and have decided to have a TrueRC Singularity 1.3GHz RHCP side feed antenna to be mounted in the bottom front of the Drak.
Thank you to Sweetieinsf from RCGroups for the idea.

So when looking for a RHCP antenna for the ground station, i saw the TrueRC 1.3GHz 10dBic X-AIR 1.2 1280mhz RHCP.

Just wanted to ask, would anyone possibly know what range i could expect from this antenna?

Personally i would love anywhere from 30km-50km.

Range isn't specified on their(TrueRC) website..but it did say its a perfect antenna for "Far Off Venture?' :P

    Would far off mean 30km?

Also i like flying VERY low to the ground...meaning if the wings had blades on them i could trim some grass. :P

    Thanks for any help.

After i wrote this thread i thought-"Why not email TrueRC directly and ask them?"

I did and received a very quick reply.

30km range is easily reached with just a 400mw VTx.

Thought i'd post this in case anyone else wants to buy one. :P

An easier way is to go to maxmyrange and compare various setups.

Your awesome thank you for that!

What an awesome site, i never knew that existed.

It says i will reach 108km which is crazy...i don't think that distance would be possible with a Drak, but with my Skyhunter i could one day.

My pal dropped below the horizon 116.4km out. (https://fpvlab.com/forums/showthread...(LEADERBOARDS)
Many variables exist. The calculation is only for free space point A-B signal propagation.
