will using pepperbox on 2.3ghz hep against wifi interferance

some fpvers ive spoken to have said that they cant even get past 2km with a 2.4ghz pepperbox because the wide beam picks up so much noise.

i was wondering if using 2.3ghz (2370, 2350 or even 2305) will help diminish the noise interference. where i want to fly there is a town in the distance that i want to fly past in order to reach the vast green fields and countryside

Yes. I fly 2305MHz for this reason. 2396 is usually good at minimizing WiFi as well if you have a good receiver.

I use 2370 and have no problems flying in the middle of a city with a pepperbox. Some channels can be a problem, but for me 2.4ghz on channel 5 has been great

how far are you going in the city though? I would think the range would be crap even out of band.

Same for me. 5-6 miles, no problems. I can't go further as I am in the middle of a mountain range and I'll lose my plane over the mountains.

alright i will try out the kit on different outside band frequencies and see which is best. i do plan on day to fly 25km out and back (an fpv objective) and also be able to just casually explore 10km out and back without being to heavily affected. my tx and rx dont have 2305 unfortunately but it does have 2310 which is close enough.

when i fly i will keep you guys updated

Did you ever get a chance to try out different frequencies? I started flying at the edge of the city, into the mountains with a 2.4 pepperbox and IRC 700mw on 2410 currently. Within 3 miles, I can fly all over the place, with near perfect video, outside of that, it starts to get bad quickly. Not sure what my next move is. Seems the pepperbox is taking in way to much interference, perhaps a new TX/VX on 2305 will do the trick?

Thought I would give an update.

Im running a mad mushroom, pepperbox and a rmrc 700mw on 2305. I just took a 8 mile , up to 4000ft elevation over a mountain top and vudeo was vulirtually flawless. Probably had another cou0le of miles left.

Almost no interfeewnce from wifi anymore.
