I take it the first 3 are real and the second pic are the fake? I have one coming from BG, so I will have to see. Thanks for pointing out that you can buy right from Ublox, a couple of extra buck for real one right from the manufacturer is a easy decision.

The left hand are the real. The right hand are the fake. Correct.

Philthyy - The purpose of the post was to assist others who may have ordered parts and are questioning the heritage or validity of the parts they received.

The parts available from ublox are just the hybrid module chip. It is not a complete GPS.

Your post does have a lot of good information and will definitely help others. Thanks for sharing what you've learned and your experiences so far.

I hope I didn't come across as an arrogant a$$hole..it was not my intent. I sometimes get a bit "fired up" when I see people flying a FPV aircraft that easily totals over $500 and they're using $5 servos from Hobbyking or GPS units of questionable heritage, as in my opinion, these are not components one should be trying to save a few dollars on.

I ordered one from BG. But I paid $36 so it MUST be the real deal, right? All kidding aside, the Ublox from BG has worked for me as advertised. Much quicker to obtain sattelites and more of them compared to the stock modual
