I've Been considering EZuhf for some time...been considering it more since I found the EZUHF modules for $49 at AGsports.

I have fun with my planes on 2.4 control and can go farther than I want to hike to retrieve a downed plane already.

Both my planes are/short to medium range birds anyway, my Specter and my StratoSurfer have only ~4200 Mah onboard. I have them on FRSky 2.4 with x8r Telemetery recievers and 5.8/Pepperbox and TrueRC X2-air. so far its working out well. with flights out beyond 3/4 mile--- glitch free and clear video with more range in the tank

I have super simple systems so far without any OSDs. I use the X8r telemetry to yell at me when i get low Rssi or Voltage. so far I've never hit either limit. I could do better on range with the L9r recievers but I wouldn't feel comfortable pushing without an OSD with RSSI as a safety net. I'm WAY too chicken to lose a plane.

My buyer never paid for the EZUHF I was selling, do you want it? $40 free shipping, I will even throw in an even better antenna: RMILEC 433MHz SRC771 1/2 Wave to sweeten the deal. Guaranteed to fly your plane to complete pain-in-the-ass distances for retrieval.

You would still need to buy a receiver or if you are visiting Arizona or go find the one I was using. Its at 34.612222, -112.654405 out there somewhere (free mini-talon included). The mini-talon crashed due to a mechanical issue, not due the control link.

    lol,
I lost it in something like 2014 so just a wee bit of rain/weather damage. Just toss a little Foam Tac on her and she'll be good to go.
