Yeah I thought it was pretty awesome, can't wait for my goggles, should be here tomorrow hopefully, not good sitting in front of a TV, blocks too much signal. I could always use my headplays if I get desperate though.

That's really very remarkable! Ace work! What type of antenna do you have on your plane?

Thanks, On the VTX is a V antenna which I am going to change to a dipole, the signal was stronger on the way out so it's not really working like it should.
Dragonlink receiver has a diy dipole on it which works awesome but am going to try the turnstile one Ibcrazy designed for 433mhz to see if I mount one into my wing when I build it.
It makes you feel very safe flying low because any failsafes or video fade outs can be corrected with a small amount of altitude so you know that you are no where near your limit, plus its good to look into other peoples backyards
I will have to put a microphone in the plane so I can hear if I am being shot at

Thanks Arch001, it's all in the testing phase at the moment, trying to work out which gear is best to use, I am just about ready to test for long distance, just waiting on more batteries and a fiberglass rod to strengthen my wing. My plan is to see how far I can get without going over 400' altitude, no point in breaking all the rules if I don't have to aye
