Question Fixed wing for aerial mapping and long range flight time

    Hi all.
I need fixed wing platform for aerial mapping, autonomous missions and long range flight time. I want bring in air cca 2kg (DSLR, Termal and multispectral camera). My closer choice is Skywalker x-8 but also think about: SkyWalker 2014 (1.900mm), SkySurfer (2.600mm), Ranger (2.000mm), Naja (2.000mm), SkyHunter (1.800mm), SkySurfer (2.000mm).
What do you suggest to me?

Maybe the large Skysurfer, but the rest will struggle to handle that payload. (Depending on your definition of 'long range').

I'm not sure about the dimensions of the cameras you mentioned, but the Ritewing Drak was designed as a mapping platform.
    Shut up and fly.

He wants to run 2kgs worth of cameras. A typical camera used for mapping will be around 300 to maybe 500grams. Some will run 2 smaller cameras (RGB/infrared), but you'd still be hard pressed to find people running more than 600grams worth of camera payload.

Because it can be a nightmare to launch, more so with that amount of weight onboard. The Anaconda might be able to handle it, but you're really looking at more specialist planes for that payload.

Talon UAV + HK Pilot 32. It's good and afordable option.

Ranger ex 2000mm is a good platform. There's a lot of room. No glue required to build it, which is good for me.

Plus dslr like nex-5 can be fit sideways (top forward or landscape) position

Nex-5 is a mirror-less, not a DSLR. Something like a Talon Max, might be able to handle it, but they are sold strictly as commercial products:
