    Just curious.....

Hello everyone. Just curious to know if it would be better for me to purchase a Variometer or GPS module for the FRSky taranis. I kind of like having the ability to see my coordinates with the GPS unit, but I'm not sure how much space it's going to take up in an already crowded Quad....

    Ideas?

There's a lot to that question, if you're talking about the sensors that Frsky offers they need a particular Rx in order to work, generally are put into gliders (though they can go anywhere).
I may not understand what you're after, but a flight controller such as a Naza with GPS run through an OSD is the way to go. (You can also get this to work with the X8R and Taranis)
You can set up the Taranis so that it reads out on the display and even tells you periodically what's going on through the voice feature with the correct Rx.

Your ideal solution is one that's integrated with the FC, GPS and OSD to minimize the misery.

If you're talking about your quad racers, a loud buzzer is the way to go.

If you're talking about anything bigger, the Eagle Tree is a good unit.
