TBS CORE PNP50 Crossfire Micro RX

    Howdy.

Hooking up the TBS CORE PNP50 to my Hexacopter and are wondering how one goes about getting the RSSI from the Crossfire Micro RX to the TBS CORE PNP50 so I can see it on the OSD.

    Cheers

BST cable from the micro Rx to the "LINK" port on the PNP50, then choose "LINK" in the PNP50 RSSI menu, voila!

Sorry, forgot to mention that you may have received a short cable with 5 separate wires with your micro Rx. This is essentially a BST cable for all intents and purposes because the pinouts are the same on the Rx and the PNP50. If you don't have this short cable then you'll need to get a BST cable from TBS or otherwise.

Update...all working but the timer sometimes does not appear on the screen?
Also Link is always at 100% what does that mean.
Is there a online manual for the PNP 50?
Menu is different to the Pro.

    Cheers

    Hi,

Don't know what the issue is with the timer you're having... Been a while since I flew my CorePNP-equipped miniquads so looked at some of my video. With my systems, the Timer will show 0-30 seconds after arming then disappear, then show at the top of each minute for 5 seconds (2:00-2:05 for instance), then disappear. My timer does not show all the time, only at the top of each minute for 5 seconds (2:00, 2:01, 2:02, 2:03, 2:04, 2:05 then disappear until 3:00) . I like it personally, one less output cluttering-up my screen most of the time. Hope my description is easily understood for you.

Your LQ will probably be 100 unless you move the machine far away (kilometers away) from the Tx or put either the Tx or quad in a Microwave or other Faraday Cage-type enclosure.

The Core Pro PNP manual is the one to use, there is no manual for the PNP25 and/or 50. The pinouts on the ports are consistent between the 25, 50 and Pro. Yes, displays are different from the Core Pro.

    Hey Mark
    Thanks for explaining all that.
My timer must be doing that.

When I fly I see the -db signal strength.
If it gets to 100 does that mean its about to failsfe.
Got to -90 today going around under trees.
    Crossfire set on 10mw's

I'm driving a 12volt 600mw VTX and 12 volt FPV cam with the PNP 50, all seems well.
6 x ESC are 18amps and I pull average 22amps (peak 30amps) flying around on the OSD.
    Motors are 1100kv's - 8.5props.

10 minute flight with a 4S 4000 Graphite on the back.
Plan to get a 4s 6600 which should take me over the 15 min mark easy.

    Cheers.
