Serious Dodo FC Motors Rev to very High Speed With Min Throttle

I have a Serious Dodo in my quadcopter. the Esc's are in sync. Disarm motors is on in cleanflight. when i arm the DODO it does not start the motors. However, if i arm the quad and give 5% the motors will start to rev slowly to VERY HIGH RPM's (no Propeller yet). so, at min throttle the motors go to full power in a very short time. only way to stop them is pull the throttle back from say 5% to 0% and the quad disarms. I have never seen this before.

My receiver and TX are bound ( for now using Fataba with EZUHF)

Any Ideas as to what is going on??????

    Thanks

I am not willing at this time to place props on the quad. the first thing it will do is take off reaching MAX revs and i Will not be able to throttle down the throttle has no effect on the motors once they start raving up. the only way i would be able to land is DISARM with a resulting crash. As far as flip i do not think it will do that with props on because all the motors spin up together.

Is this your first quad build?

If there is no load on the motors the props will seem to spin up uncontrollably on the bench. Way back when I flew my first quad I was concerned about the same thing. Finally I just flew it and all was good.

Sounds like level or horizon mode is on. Or it's normal I term windup. Don't let the quad idle on the bench. Arm and fly, or disarm.

I had done a firmware update and did not reset the radio values. Once i updated the radio values it worked fine. That was of course for clmeanflight.

Curiously, I had the same thing happening after flashing the latest Betaflight on my Dodo. Radio values were normal. Stuck cleanflight back on it and it was back to normal.
