    HobbyKing Folding Carbon Arms

Saw this video from HobbyKing showing a folding arm option for the TBS Discovery (Pro)

    ( ).

Seems like a nice mod. Anyone done it? Any drawbacks? I've been looking at the Endurance Mod, but bummed about giving up portability. Hopefully there will be a folding version of the Endurance Kit.

I too am considering the switch to these arms. Only issue I see is the offset screw posts being a pain to replace if damaged.

I think these are only standard length though and not the extra long endurance size.
I want it all- endurance and sized to fit in my pelican case!

Ive had them for a while. Both carbon and aluminum. Theyre good. Slightly longer than standard flamewheel arms. Its been a needed upgrade for the discovery for some time.
I have no idea what I'm doing

So you are using the standard motors and 10in props? Any performance difference?
Just curious, what does the carbon or aluminum do different? Seems carbon would be best due to weight.

    Thanks!

tbs 900 with their 9 inch self tightening props. It corners better. The arms are an inch longer. You could probably go to 11s. I think the carbons are 20g lighter each than the aluminum ones.

besides the weight difference is there a set you would prefer to use if you were to buy again

Also are the carbon versions milled out on the underside of the motor mounting section or is the thickness the same as the rest of the arm

    Cheers
