The date of knowing should be at hand or nearly here.

    And the operators are licensed.

Doesn't look like it. Taylor filed his last brief on 8/18 and the most recent item on PACER is a letter Taylor filed on 9/10 advising the court what days he has schedule conflicts and would not be available for oral argument. Looks like they are still in the processing of scheduling oral arguments in the case, which means it will be decided after both parties appear in court to argue in front of the judges, and the case will not be decided just on written briefs.

John sent me a PM a couple weeks ago saying oral arguments are scheduled for March 14. Link to schedule order: http://bit.ly/2j83NKX. He wanted to post in this thread but it was like his user permissions got screwed up and he can't post here anymore.

John's oral argument before the DC Circuit Court was today. You can listed to the recording of the arguments here: https://www.cadc.uscourts.gov/recordings/recordings2017.nsf/469F0B57EDA3C53A852580E300577ED7/$file/15-1495.mp3.

Basically, the FAA attorney got her butt kicked by the judges, who accused her or just making up words that weren't in the statute and saying things like, "I wouldn't write something like that, I'd be laughed out of the business." Not looking good for the FAA....

That was awesome. Amazing the way the FAA attorney was pivoting to the program and costs in an effort of subterfuge...glad they saw right through it. Best thing I have heard since 2012...
