Exclamation DVR firmware upgrade , IMPORTANT INFORMATION

This firmware option is on the newer DVRs coming out , but let me stress.... TRYING TO FIND A FIRMWARE NOT FROM US , AND DOING THE UPDATE YOURSELF WILL BRICK YOUR DVR OK!!
So many people have been using incorrect firmware posted here on the LAB by irresponsible people , and bricking their DVR'S that I took away public access to the upgrade firmware from our site.....people were not reading the warnings about which goggles and DVR that firmware was for(older DVR versions like the DomHD and Domv2 only) , and killing their DVR's in the process.

The correct firmware for the newer DVR's has NOT been released yet, so if you use anything that people have linked here on the LAB to do it ,you will kill it .
Please wait for us to release the correct firmware before anyone causes more trouble with this ok.

Will the upcoming firmware be posted in this thread? Also have all the changes been decided on?

Any changelog for the upcoming firmware?
Option to choose bitrate would be great, the current one is a bit too low and quality of the video isn't that great.

    My HD2 DVR is dead.
Long press, dvr can be turned on, RED LED will be solid,
short press, goggle will beep, and RED LED will blink ,
but after only 5 seconds it will stop automatically.
SD card has new .avi file, but the size is 0 byte.
    Is it a firmware problem?

Try another card first , could be the card at issue .
Also make sure you stop recording if its the older type DVR in the HD1.

Are you referring to the DVR OSD menu not showing up ? make sure you have the rx switched off and also that you are in the av2D mode , not HDMI mode or anything else otherwise it wont work.

    Cheers

    Hi,
    i have a Dom HD3 with Furious v3
is it normal that flying image quality is A LOT better than recorded by DVR? When I check post flight videos the quality is pretty bad, almost imposible to watch.
    thanks

Yes, that is normal. The DVR is a low bitrate. If uploading to youtube, first save the DVR file as MPEG-4 or something else that is 1080P to upscale. Youtube does not do a good job upscaling DVR footage.
