By the way, Dale, could you please put a note above both the "Fuse Strip Spars - Top" as well as bottom videos (some may just watch one and do both sides) saying something to the effect of:

Before sparring the fuselage, install the motor mount, as the top fuse spars should run over the mount cap.

    Thanks man.

Yeah maybe I will try a bit of expo for my next flights and see how that goes. Im pretty happy it is in one piece so I can take it to club day tuesday and show it off.

I made some epp elevons today. I knew if they were put in and recommended in a ritewing kit that obviously they would work well, but I was still skeptical as they're really long and that's a lot of epp to get sturdy. I sparred them, painted them and covered with 10mil. Wow... Just wow. They're like a piece of mahogany. And super durable given their construction. Good stuff.

    That launch was sketchy ginger!

I don't know about yall but I always maiden my planes with 100% throw and no expo. It is more often than not unpredictable and you need the extra throw.

Did you launch that in Vector 2D mode by any chance?

I set the throw to match the measurements in the build video but I have been lowering it as I have flown it. That launch was pretty mushy going that slow so Im going to raise the throws up a little and start adding expo. I will also try launching it in 3d mode so it should maintain itself till I get my hand back on it.

In case anybody is wondering, what can you do with Plasti Dip if you don't like what you've done?

So, after having it was pointed out that I shouldn't do a scale job when drunk I decided to redo the wing. Truth is, I thought is was too much. Plus, it really would cut down on picking it out in the sky. Something my tired old eyes can use all the help they can get.

Simple solution, just peal the crap off! Simple as that.
I started with a piece of rough sand paper to tear a hole in the paint. After that it's just a matter of pealing it all off. Took about 15 minutes total.

Gloss has been shot on the right wing. Really adds a nice shiny finish. The purple is amazing with gloss.

Just wondering because it looked an awful lot like my Chimera launching woes when I was using 2D. As luck would have it, I launched it in manual by mistake one day and it climbed right out. I have seen a video on 3D launch and I know someone who tried it. That might be the ticket but I'm wondering why your Drak won't climb right out as in Chris's launch videos.
