Ten point two miles to be exact, twenty three miles cumulative, 30 minutes in the air.

My latest personal best and probably my safe maximum based on my current capacity with a safety reserve. I could stretch it another mile or so but it is kind of moot at this point. Landed with 3.74 volts per cell remaining.

Excellent! Be a good chap, and give us a quick rundown on your FPV setup....I like to find out what is working well for others.

    1.3 video 800mw vtx, and 433 DL3 control
VAS pepperbox and VAS omni mad mushroom antennas
Eagle Eyes Diversity and Eagletree FC
RMRC flight cam and a RunCam2 for HD recording
Ritewing SS motor and ESC, 2 X 4600 5S Revolectrix batteries.
    5.88 pounds dry - 8.21 lb or 3726 g with batteries

    Thank you for asking, brother

Flying it for over 2 years rock solid zero issues hand launch in manual mode with no adjustment to elevons not a single failed launch attempt. The screen shows in 2DH, which I did just to get there mostly hands free but I prefer to fly in manual mode almost all the time. I sometimes put it in 3DH but really I just prefer all manual all the time.

This is actually my first FPV plane. I have a few others now but this remains my favorite, soon to be dethroned, maybe, by the Mini Drak

Fantastic my dude. Feels good, doesn't it? Your altitude is surprisingly low for that distance... Were you flying from an elevated position? Just keep being safe and checking your aircraft before each flight - I used to love long range, obsessively, but a couple really far crashes and even some close in but never solved have tainted my confidence in my equipment and I am now a b1tch when it comes to going too far. And that's with recovery tools like tbeacon and such. Such is life and FPV: nothing kills a relationship like broken trust...

I suppose I need to build the next big drak and get back into reaching for the moon. Probably the only way I'm going to get over it and regain that confidence...

    Anyway, congrats man! Awesome stuff.

Thank you buddy! It is just really flat farm land with nothing in between be and the destination.

I prefer closer in flying with friends, chasing other aircraft but it was a bit of a rush closing in on 10 miles. Heart started racing.

I have a tbeacon and never installed it :-O

If you are not trying to fit through an opening that is just too tight, you are not FPVing.

Thanks. Actually it was mostly Saturday night and Sunday after a lot of people had left and we had cleaned up and taken down all the gates. Was a great time and good to meet you and so many others.
