What's the current hotness for fixed-wing?

I've been mostly playing with multirotors, but I've lately had a couple if instances where an autopilot would have saved me some grief on my fixed wing FPV planes. What are the current options out there, both budget and with all the doodads?

Eventually I'd like to be able to draw up flight plans on the fly (so to speak)... I used Piccolo a lot overseas and I'm used to the capabilities. But for now, a simple RTH mode would be excellent.

    Whatcha got?

The best options are the vector or myflydream ap
Also the fy-41 from feiyu tech does the job
Just simple rth unit is FY Dos

More advanced but lot of testing and bug fixing is a apm 2.6 or pixhawk lots of possibilities and cheap

I absolutely love my Eagle Tree Vectors. Easy and fun to use and very reliable.

I believe naze has RTH, look into the naze for fixed wing thread. IMO apm clone is the best bang for the buck for what you can do with it. Like anyhting in this hobby, the easier it is to use the more it costs or the fewer doddads it has. Another one that looks cool is TheBrain FC, good price lots of features. All depends on how much you want to spend.

The Dragon OSD RTH is great. You can see an example of mine working here:

Yeah, an acro-naze32 (30 bucks) with a gps module (20-30 bucks), will give you stablization (various styles), RTH, fail safe RTH, and auto launch (enable RTH and throw it).

It also has a fairly active thread for it, and the commonly used OSD (MinimOSD).

I also use the dragon OSD and it's fantastic. Very customizable, RTH works great, and it's relatively inexpensive and lightweight. Here's some video of mine:
