Yeah by track I meant the distance between the wheels side to side. Good to know it doesn;t mess with that. I'll have to try that mod! It's a pain having to back the nuts off to get the wheels to spin freely every time.

Soldered battery packs, I'll have 2s 850mAh on each axle, 1.7A total capacity:

With stock wheels I don't get enough grip on smooth surface so getting ready 1/16 buggy wheels to invert them for more offset. Grinded inside, taped 7mm nuts in, poured some resin, GF plate on top, and more resin on top of that. This way I have GF plate embedded inside resin:

The rubber is not soft enough so I drilled loads of holes on both sides and sanded off 3 strips that reinforce the tyre:

With stock wheels I could tilt the crawler sideways ~50deg before it tips over, with new bigger and inverted wheels it tips over from 60deg and has much more grip, happy with that To get there I experimented with both wheels and weights and glued lead strips inside my new wheels:

A pic for comparison of stock and 1/16 inverted wheels:

And we're done. Got it set, mixed, tested etc, ready to go Build overview video is coming very shortly and here's few more pics:

AWESOME work! That last pic, with the Rocksta up against the Tx, really gives good perspective for how tiny this thing is. Love all the custom fiberglass work! Should be tough enough to handle the inevitable "off road roll" that comes with crawling up and over gnarly obstacles...
Regarding "some" peoples thoughts about Trappy and the FAA and "the sky is falling":

"Perspective. Time to recognize the root cause and not focus exclusively on a single case."

Yeah man, this thing is tiny indeed. My 4yo and 6yo test drivers tested that rollcage multiple times and daddy is still waiting for his turn between battery charges, or when they're in bed
On the FPV note- my DomHD2 goggles doesn't fit their small heads, that's the thing I didn't foresee... Once I get FS diversity Rx module (whenever it's out) I'll have existing module as spare to hook on to my HMD. Till then they can enjoy LOS and learn that my Taranis' sticks are not door handles...

Finally got my one going. 10 minutes with the 2yr old and the gears are stripped! Anyone know where to get spare parts?
