How to make a flexible 45 degree SMA to SMA adapter!

I have been asked by a few people for the 45 degree SMA to SMA adapter I posted for use with the 8db patch on goggles so the patch points forward. Happy to sell them but thought some people might like to make their own.

I make them using a short length of semi rigid RG402 coax and a male and female SMA connectors.

Cut a piece of the rigid coax to a suitable length, I find 30-40mm is just a nice range, a bit longer is a little easier to work with but for those that are pretty experienced with the tools shorter gives a nicer end product.

Here is a few photos showing the steps to the finished product.

If you have standard FS module and patch then you need male then female! If your patch mounts directly now then you need male and female.

Do you use any adapter now?

Nice, nicer if it was shorter. Nice price too! Some will want RP-SMA to SMA, do you have those?

Not sure exactly which one you are referring to, but this is the entire section for that stuff: http://www.readymaderc.com/store/ind...cPath=11_45_58

If you have a TBS Dominator vTx, for some totally unexplained reason they used a RP-SMA female connector on the vTx end and no you don't have them.

Knowing how to do a connector replacement for re-doing antenna's and the like when you manage to tear them off when travelling at high speed through a tree will save many dollars so a worthwhile skill.
