    Hi from Saskatchewan

Well. I'm going to give this FPV thing another try. Kids bought me what I needed when the craze first started, didn't catch the first go round.... As with any RC hobby, things change.

This time I'll be using a quadcopter instead of a fixed wing glider for starters. Had a couple "pure" FPV flights already, with a Cheerson CX-20. Probably won't be long until I mount up a fixed wing plane.

Tough to keep up with the changes. Not only the equipment, but the regulations......

LOL Well at least not like the FAA announced for South of the 49th today!

Yes, I am an old man, just ask Beerwiser about my hips!!! New to the APM stuff, so I'm not shy to learn. Beerwiser should answer his phone with "Welcome to Tech support" ROFL

Have enough flights on a CX-20 that I need to replace a 3.3v regulator on the flight controller. Waiting on the replacement regulator in the worst shipping month of the year.... Got a new FMS 2.3M ASW28 cheap from a guy up the road. Have seen a lot of electronic issues with this brand, no biggie if your a pack rat like me, parts are plentiful.

Maidened her the other day, and was surprised it flew as well as it did. After the post-maiden a inspection yielded no issues, so I charged the battery and did it again. That flight was un-eventful and had to be terminated when I couldn't feel my hands. Cool (-6C) and humid (+75%) with a breeze. Hard on an old guys hands.

Brought it in a started building a canopy more suited for FPV. This will be my first fixed wing FPV plane. While it floats, it isn't a Radian. She will glide all right in a 15khr breeze and can haul the freight if you want to. Haven't put any telemetry in it yet to see what it will do.

My new FPV equipment is a lot lighter than the stuff from 5 years ago. Back then my Radian wallowed like a pig due to the excessive wing loading. The new plane will likely just have better wind penetration (hopefully) without causing flight issues.

A some as I'm allowed to post pics I'll post some......
