Yes and it worked just fine.

The system will not accept a P.O. Box but it will accept an RIBBS P.O. Box address.

P.O. Box 1234 will not work.

A post office RIBBS address such as 123 Main Street Unit #1234 will work.

Not we, you need to do something and then get others to do the same.

But I can guarantee that ain't happening.

I will not push the pedal when a traffic light goes yellow

When this process started in October there was no word that we have to read, understand and intend to follow the safety guidance from the FAA.

No but they can write rules and regulations and interpret/misinterpret existing rules and regulations and until someone hauls them into court and gets order issued stating otherwise, those rules, regulations and interpretations will stand. The FAA knows that and like most regulatory bodies has very deep pockets to grind down anyone who wishes to take them on.

As such it will be a long expensive uphill battle to modify anything the FAA has done and even if the AMA prevails with their latest strategy, I am reasonably sure the FAA will appeal it to a higher level and then the battle will drag on for many more years, that is if the AMA doesn't just toss in the towel rather then spending any more membership money on something with no sure ending.

Never forget when fighting a regulatory body you are indirectly paying their legal fees through your taxes and fees, so in essence you are battling yourself and your fellow taxpayers while paying all of your own legal fees.

We gotta keep it real though, we don't need to pass any exams to fly our quads and planes.

Total bull, I launch my 3M glider over 400' easily; no more thermals - yea right! I slope fly the mountains here in Nevada and easily go higher on good lift days above 400'. What about how the 33% & Turbine guys flying their competition patterns; most fly over 400' at some point. The FAA does not have a clue; whomever helped them with developing of these guidelines is a fool and probably never flew anything capable of being seen above 400' I.E. parkzone cub. I agree with the 400' within 3 miles of an airport; not when I am flying 20 plus miles from an airport. So, is the FAA going to start showing up at Joe Nall or thermal glider meets and start handing out fines for flying LOS above 400'?

There's a big CYA component involved, that's for sure. I can picture the board meeting (and probably many before) that went something like - "if there's a big accident, a disaster, and they look at us and say "what did you do to prevent this?", what are we going to say?".

So, due to their own feet-dragging neglect, they've decided to just hastily come up with a cover-all contract and demand it be signed. That's how democracy works, right?
