DVR Firmware upgrade - your input

Ok so far I'm adding the following to the menu:
    1) default (current setup - requires physically turning on and start record).
    2) auto start (DVR turns on and starts recording on power up - stops recording when card full)
    3) continuous (DVR turn on and starts recording, on card full starts overwriting original files

    Any other (reasonable) features?

All of those look great. Is it possible for the DVR to trigger the beeper circuit? If so, if it could send out a specific beep code when option 2 fills a card, it would be nice...

Like CheezWiz says a beep option for nearing full, but as a global setting for either 2 or 3.

Will the update be for all DVR versions or just the latest DVR?

Greg: Continuous auto-recording would be awesome! One less thing to worry about on the pre-flight checklist.

As others mentioned, anything you can do in terms of selecting aspect ratio would be welcome! Changing aspect ratios without distortion would be a huge positive for those who fly 4:3 board cams for FPV as well as 16:9 cameras on Solo/Phantom-type RTF AP quads.

For the life of me I cannot see why you need a full indication beeper, I just use 32Gb cards and clear the card after each days flying and have never come close to it being a problem.

I guess if you are going to use continuous auto recording there is potential to forget about it and fill the card if you forget to turn off your goggles but that is a different problem.

Improve the ability in autodetecting NTSC. Even with NTSC FW, it still records in Pal (even when I insert the power after video).

    Those are great features though!

Ya, same for me mate. I might be useful (but not critical) to be able to get sd card info displayed to tell you gb used/gb remaining.
