EzUHF PPM RSSI not behaving... question.

I have an interesting observation with no idea where to start trouble shooting to solve.

    Problem:
RSSI values do not behave as they should (like a logarithmic decay). Instead RSSI values act more like Link Quality and pretty much remain at 100%.

    Hardware configuration:
EzUHF Standalone Module in low power
    Diversity Reciever
    - Dipole
    - Turnstyle
    All running v1.50

Both RSSI and Link quality are sent via the PPM stream to the EagleTree Vector.

RSSI displayed is actually the inverse of RSSI (no negative sign) and should go from zero when close and increase when going away and signal strength drops. Signal quality is the proportion of packets decoded correctly.

Could you post a picture of the configuration in ImmersionRCTools?

As this goes through the Eagle Tree Vector... it corrects for the backwards way that ImmersionRC has decided to do RSSI (or maybe everyone else is backwards???). In any case, best possible signal is 100% worst should be 0... however my configuration has 1 when the transmitter is turned off.

    EzUHF configuration looks like this:

FWIW... I am not the only one with this problem, I have talked to a number of people that have the same results. 100% RSSI 3 miles out is bogus, plain and simple, physics does not work this way.

I think this was one of the reasons 1.52 came out was cause the RSSI/LQ bug, Upgrade to 1.42.1 tools and 1.52 FW and let me know if you got issues.

I understand that 1.52 FW has issues, is new FW on the way? Thanks

I have not heard of 1.52 issues, care to enlighten me to your knowledge?

    Errors when scanning spectrum?

This is just what I gathered in reading around, don't want to imply there are any serious problems.

So can we be assured that there are no issues with the 1.52 FW and that Derrick's concerns were dealt with? I've yet to go far with a LR rig so I'm just curious here and trying to keep up.

Ahh sorry I was skimming and missed the spec scan part of the mention and thought you were talking about the functionality of the firmware. I know the functionality is solid... The spec scan yea that's not happy.

Ok thanks, if spectral analysis glitches are all we may have to worry about then we have it pretty good.
