Remove the "No Signal" stamp from your sky-700D monitor!

This update will disable the 'no signal' stamp completely.
It will also replace the numerical battery voltage meter with a battery 'icon' meter.
-I am working to get the original numerical monitor back.

Here is the link to 1.2.17 firmware update.
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4T...ew?usp=sharing
    This is the latest release.
    'Full' file is for restore.
    'Upgrade' to update.
You will just use the 'upgrade' file

Also, working to get the built in menu 'hold time' shortened. Currently it stays on for about 30 seconds.

I have not tested the 'USB' update technique, only the SD method which works great.
    Ver. 1.2.17 after update.

updating is super easy and works to remove the No Signal stamp.
I used the sd card technique and it was painless.

    1) Drag the update file to the root folder of the SD.
    2) Put the sd back in the 700 and power up while holding down the DOWN or (-) button. You will get a splash screen with a circling arrow in the middle of the screen. Once you see the arrow you can let go of the (-) button.
Your arrow may freeze or your monitor may go black.
At this point just cycle the power and you will be greeted with a splash screen followed by a static screen without a no signal stamp.

let me now if you guys have any problems.

    best,
    Jake

Crack it open! If you break it, at least you'll have a bunch of good spare parts for the next one.

    BELADOG, Thank you very much!
My Sky-700D had hangup bug while recording, almost one at twice hangup while recording, at Firmware 1.2.16.
But after version up to firmware 1.2.17, no hangup! I already runs about 20 times recording but no hangup!
If you have hangup problem, I suggest to version up of firmware. (of course, at your own risk!)
