Great thread. So here's my contribution. Flying the awesome Skywalker on a windy day. First approach....WAVE OFF!! Crosswinds were too much. Second approach, came in tooooo hot, not enough flaps....almost made it when an evil wind gust lifted it up at the last minute. The *WHAM*...right into the side of my truck. This is actually a testimonial to how resilient the GoPro cameras are. The camera took a direct hit to the bottom quarter panel of the truck and survived with NO DAMAGE!

    Check it out here:

Once you have your goggles on, you cant see whats going on around you. Lucky for me, I saw a Parkzone Radian travelling right at my head, and ducked in time!

Just a quick instructional video on a few things not to do. Do not try this at home

Forgot 2 things today. If you use a 1 watt booster with your 2.4ghz transmitter make sure you plug it in before you fly. If you don't do that make sure you wait for GPS lock before you take off in case you need the autopilot to kick in.
I had just changed my frsky module over to my 9C out of my old FF7. Was more concerned about trimming the plane than where it was going. First flight for the wing on this radio so failsafes were not set correctly and it did not glide very level

    Broke my new folding prop
