Hi, yes I tried that too - no luck. The Crossfire doesn't respond when switching to 12CH mode on both the Futaba T18MZ and the HiTec Aurora 9. I'm using Mavlink Tx and Rx on CH7 and CH8 hence I need a few more channels for pan, tilt and camera control on my plane.

    Perna,

Injecting RSSI into PPM steam (Micro)
What does RSSI/LQ actually do ?, I could guess but I think an explanation would be helpful please ?

I assume a balancing act looking at the worst of both values

I'll spend some time this weekend working on another setup using Crossfire and Futuba 14. I'll let you know if I get it working with 12 channels.
Question, are you using sbus or ppm?

I was also wondering about that.

Was really digging my Crossfire/TBS Core combo in my new mini talon so much that I took it to Tuscany with me on vacation. Second flight, I had an ESC fire and the aircraft went down. Total loss. ESC melted the GPS module, the Xfire Rx and damaged the core pro. Spent 5 hrs in the lovely Tuscan Hills (and briars) locating the aircraft. Had to rely on the flight recording for a location, and then conducted a search. Turns out it was right next to that location the whole time (about 50 meters off in a direction we never traveled). So this definitely sucked! What made things better was when I arrived home, there was a package from TBS. I forgot that I ordered another completed setup so now I just need to decide what airframe to put this in. Damn that was an expensive vacation.

it "linearizes" RSSI and combines it with LQ. LQ won't drop until RSSIs are really low. I'm not sure about the underlying formula, but the goal with this value was to give you an accurate progress bar, rather than LQ which is like a Windows 95 setup progress bar - stuck at 60% for most of the progress, and then jumps to 100% in 2 seconds
