Traveling with the DJI Inspire 1 Case

I am planing to take my Inspire 1 on a trip and wanted to see if there was any issues with the case that comes with the DJI Inspire 1 as carry on, on the major airlines.
It seems that the case might be technically 6 inches too wide.
According to most of the Major Airlines the allowed max carry on is on average 22x14x9 (ebags guide).
The Inspire case is 22.5x20x10, which is just over the carry on sizes.

Just looking for other peoples experiences with the case and traveling within the US.
    Thanks

If it doesnt fit in the overhead then you have to check it on...I was on a 777 that had more room and it fit. One thing you could do is some airlines let you gate check it. Kind of like a kids stroller. You go to the gate counter, ask to check the case and pick it up when you get off the plane. Most baggage handlers will bring it up. I've done that before but you have about a 60/40 chance of it ending up at baggage claim. You have a higher chance of not getting through TSA especially if you're carrying Lipo's. Good luck

Thanks for the feed back 1Placerville, I think I will get a Pelican 1640 and just put the DJI case in that and check it. Then there is no stress and no worries.
