    Australian RPAS Laws and Regulations

    Hey all,

With lots happening in this industry, I thought I would start a thread where we can all come to discuss the laws and regs around RPAS and UAVs in Australia.

    Feel free to discuss.

    Cheers

    Hi mongrel
I know you have your rpas certification but some operators such as a bloke connected with look at noosa website are bringing heat onto our hobby. In his website he encourages public to call police on anyone who can't produce a licence when their flying alone with alot of other dribble about insurance etc. It's loosers like this who we don't need scaring the public about our hobby.

    I am hearing you!

I get peeved when legitimate operators, or even hobby flyers get harassed from people whom have been brainwashed by bad media. It sucks.

    Hi,

I'm one of the first to support model rc but he does say any commercial activity. I dont think the operator has an obligation to present the details to the public but does need to give to CASA, etc.

Calling the police is overboard imho.

He should put a blurb saying hobby flyers have no such requirement and to leave them alone. Lack of this clarification this does make it hard for the public to understand.

    Chris
