    Need a new battery charger

I've out grown my battery charger and I'm looking for recommendations.
Ideally, able to charge large lipos (life, NiMh, etc) (10 amp or higher) and a good voltage range, internal resistance checking would be nice.
Multiple simultaneous battery charging would be good.

Something solid, powerful and lots of bells and whistles but under $300.

    Any recommendations?

I have the powerlab6 myself, seems great they also have a powerlab8.

A lot of people have the Icharger as an alternative.

Either manufacturer seems to be suitable for anything you might throw at it to charge.

Its so easy to get a old server PSU for these chargers, this post http://fpvlab.com/forums/showthread....l=1#post684069 has links to the threads that explain modding a PSU, also in there are a few people who convert the PSU's and resell them.

Get the Powerlab 6 or 8. That will handle anything. The quality of the machine is top notch.

I almost bought one untill I saw what the requirements were to run the software, if you use one are all features accessible without the software?

I'm fairly certain that you don't need the software based on the tutorials I have read. It does increase the functionality though.

It looks like an awesome charger and like I said I wanted to buy it.
Would be nice if someone that uses it could weigh in on how important the software factor is here.
Currently I'm looking at the iCharger 1010b+, which has the USB built in (powerlab requires the purchase of a "special adaptor")
The 1010b+ is less expensive, has the same feature set though it does not seem the tank the powerlab is, and I mean "tank" in a good way.

Screw it... I went ahead and bought the powerlab6 with power supply and a dash of cables and balance boards.
Thanks for everyone that gave some insight.

Just dropping by to say I got the PL6 today, got the software installed, and it appears to be a very well built machine.
The software works but it's dinosaurish, I guess I'm too used to polished apps.
The Internal Resistance is just as helpful as I thought it would, one of my problem lipos shows a single cell with twice the IR of the others explaining why it has been a pain to charge and balance properly.
