    The X-AIR

    The X-AIR 5.8!

What's better than a crosshair? Two crosshairs! 13dBi, super wide beam, maximum axial ratio, only 45g!

    150deg. wide horiz. beam
    45deg. vert. beam

    Q&A:

-Can I just plug two X-AIR onto a Tee to make a X-AIR?
No, the X-AIRs are modified in order to achieve proper 50ohm impedance.

-Can I unplug the individuals X-AIR to have two antennas?
The antenna's connections are soldered, unscrewing them will harm the tuning, they won't work as stand-alone unit either.

-How do I mount the antenna?
The long side must be held vertical so the widest part of the coverage is horizontal.

    Thanks

Taking the spec of the dom rx (nextwave) and low noise floor, 10km should be easy. Google are boscam AIO with FPVplastic's skymask, a RP-SMA-SMA 90deg. adapter is used because they have top exit RP-SMA. -Hugo

Ideas for mounting this on the new Headplay goggles with a top mounted SMA?

I got a set of HP on order, when they come in I'll make a rigid pigtail that extend forward so the X-AIR clear the front of the HP.
Then I'll make the pigtail available at low cost or included.

Sounds great Hugo. Hoping you got your order in early for the first batch. I did. Too bad the antenna couldn't just be built into the far end face of the headset.

Have you modeled this with two snipers? Wondering if the vertical is too small.

I did, vertical is 24deg @-3dB, comparable to gatling, with vertical of 48deg @-3dB and 15.3ish dB gain.
    Not bad.
