Ordered two more after NAFPV and they are the same.

Made new prototype with more up tilt and wider cooling duct.
    Attachment 66077

This is the camera I ordered: http://www.surveilzone.com/Plastic-C...ns-DC5V-g-1413

Looks to be the same one just in a case.

If it is broken, fix it. if it isn't broken, I'll soon fix that.

Seems like you could have the best of both worlds by running two LEDS like that...?
The lens I use are 25deg, but not all the light produced end up in the 25deg. beam, some is spilled on a 90-100deg. angle. Having a bigger reflector or a smaller LED will reduce the spill. Since I have a small reflector relative the XM-L LED size, there's plenty of spill already so no need for a flood.

    Does your menu begin with:
    3D-DNR
    Exposure
    WDR

Cool. Always nice when things work out without added complexity! Although cooling such a powerful LED is always complex...luckily these are flying machines so there should be adequate airflow!

I ordered two of those as well after watching Hugo fly that night with you. There are four cameras at 1200tvl, and they all have the same description except for one with a different Exmor sensor. None mention wdr.

Tracking shows mine in Kentucky right now, but I'm leaving for the RMRC Fest tomorrow and won't get to see the osd settings until I get back.

Interesting that you are choosing the cmos over ccd considering ccd is usually better in low light. Thoughts on that?

Smart phones have pulled CMOS tech ahead of CCD.

Alex, I think found the issue. My cams came in PAL mode, I switched to NTSC for the hell of it and it was laggy and felt like 15fps.

S/N ratio of modern CMOS cameras is better than old CCD sensors. This is especially important when it comes to low light performance.

Found your forum and then your store while researching a headlight for my 250 quad. Any update on this prototype? Looks amazing! I love the attention to detail by putting a cooling duct!
