I just posted this in the video thread, but here you go -- a few flights on my Mini SH in Cancun last week. I was flying in some pretty high wind and while it gets blown sideways quite a bit, it does manage to track fairly well and is quite stable. I realized after a few tries that I needed full throttle to take off in that wind:

Nice flying! It looks pretty windy in the trees. How was travelling on the airlines from Canada with the MSH? Did you ship it?

I cut up some of the original foam packaging and put it into an empty hard suitcase. It fit like a charm! No issues in travel, though the Taranis and 3 batteries in my carry-on did raise some eyebrows. I had them all individually packed in zip loc bags. It was all perfectly legal. However, I received a promo email from RMRC yesterday that said that airline lipo rules are changing and that they'll no longer be allowed! That will be a serious bummer if true.

The wind was very high but at least sustained rather than gusty. Constant 15-20 mph. It made upwind trips with the not-so-powerful mini SH a bit of a slog, but it handled it with the prop upgraded to APC 8x6. I had to watch my throttle though as the ESC was getting real hot after each flight.

    Hi Guys,

Im really impressed with my mini SH also, im looking for options on upgrading the motor/esc & prop as i feel its a little under-powered, but still want to use my 3000mah 3S lipo.

What are the options for more power & efficiency on this wing can someone recommend a good combo of kit to purchase?

    Cheers

I am awaiting the delivery of two Titan 4S 3500 Mah Ion batteries. I intend to mount them in parallel to get 7000 mah for much greater flight times. Them combined is just a tad heavier than a standard 3500 Mah battery. As for a power set up I am going to try the set up that Adrianm1972 used. Sunny Sky X2216 1250kv with an APC 8x6E prop on 4S 3200's with a 40A ESC.

Sounds good, is there an upgrade recommended for people who want to fly 3s?

No upgrade required for 3S. I fly stock on 3S and it's just fine.
