Damn you built a helluva quad dude, that thing just rips. I think you need a little more up tilt on your camera for the next speed run and you'll be seeing 100mph.

Besides the uptilt Robo, you will have to adjust the color on the cam for doppler blueshift

I can't tilt the cam up anymore as it hits the frame. Usually I fly with the cams tilted ~25deg up and just didn't expect that even 45deg tilt won't be enough on this one. And with that 45deg tilt landing is brutal, I either dropping it from a ~meter height, or softly hitting the ground and rolling over. When I'll do a similar project in the future I'll have the cam on a servo for take-offs and landings, but for now a higher altitude run with GPS logger will do

Dammit, my cam doesn't have such setting... LOL

On the 6s note- I ordered 6s batteries for this bubu. Got 1.55A 65C that will give those 100A needed. Once I'm finished with record breaking I can resolder them to make 3s packs for my standard fleet

Do you flatten the arms a little before mounting the motor mounts?

I don't flatten tubes as don't want to compromise their strength, but a flat plate on round tube is not good enough either coz just the line will not hold if the plate will want to go sideways. So before wrapping I fill the gap with epoxy between the plate and the tube so the line will wrap tight everywhere, that prevents from motormount sliding sideways on impact:

Cant you redesign the camera mount, or use one of the micro cameras instead?

Its going to be so much easier to get a decent speed run when the camera is facing straight forward.

I suppose I can do something, but I think it's not worth it- once I'll have GPS logger on board I can do runs at higher altitude and cam's tilt will do grand as it is

Two cameras and a switch! You can use a budget micro-camera for looking straight ahead (it's only for landings) and a decent camera tilted for forward flight. A $5 camera switch hooked up to a spare channel and you're done!

Or just mount it on a servo and have a 3 position switch for like 0, 45, 75 deg tilt.
