Lightbulb Batteries Batteries Batteries are driving me Batty!

    Ok.
    Quick question?

I'm flying a TBS Pro with 900kv motors with no extra weight than needed! Which battery's are the best to use for just a longer flight?
    Thanks

I use a 5000MAh Nanotech. Will hover for about 20 mins.
When in doubt, hold on to your altitude. No one has ever collided with the sky.

    Thanks cool - Thanks.

I heard that Nanotech don't have a very long lifespan though! What rating do you use?

4S 35~70C. I know some people do moan about them. But I only use Nanotechs and have never had an issue with any of the 20 packs I've used.

6 x TBS 4500's 14 min run time with Graup 9s and TBS 900kvs with 1000 mAh left in pack average usually. 16.80v max charge and 15.14-15.20v upon landing.

    Cheers

Since this is a thread about batteries here are a couple of general battery questions
How many charge cycles can one expect from a battery?
What should I look for to let me know that a battery should be retired?

You will know If a battery lives long enough to not see a crash which leaves it deformed and "questionable", the serious drop in capacity will be obvious. Many of mine have also started to get warmer during charge cycles.

Pete beat me to it. Hover doesn't mean anything. Thats not flying.

I like the TBS Packs and the Lumineer 5300 pack. I had bad luck with the RMRC 5200 packs.
