Skyzone Goggles - Used Twice - Now Dead

My Skyzone goggles are only 1 month old from Foxtech, I have used them twice, but now when I power up I get the bleeps but nothing on the screens. Any ideas? The return shipping cost is very expensive.

    Sometimes stuff just breaks :-(

Is the backlight on the screen working -- that is to say does the darkness get slightly less dark when you plug in the power when wearing them?

Hi Bruce, no backlight, screens are completely dead. I like the Skyzone goggles and I will of course be returning them to Foxtech but at some cost to me. I will be going for Fatshark next, only because if they go wrong we have a UK repair centre, and as you say sometimes stuff breaks.

If there's no backlight then it could be either that:

    1. it's only the backlight that has failed
    2. there's a power-supply problem

Either way, those are amongst the easiest faults to fix.

So far (touch wood) all the Skyzone goggles around here have been totally reliable.

When you say easy to fix, could I fix it myself?

Sadly, you are correct. I generally fix a lot of stuff for folk around here and I don't charge for my efforts. It all helps to keep the hobby affordable and fun.

I have a replacement set of Skyzone goggles. I sent back the old ones and supplied Foxtech with tracking details, they sent the new ones right away. So I have to say well done to Foxtech, all sorted inside a week, great customer service.
