    LHCP/RHCP, What is the difference?

I am looking at buying my own FPV rig, and I have been looking at these antennae:

    http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...2_RP_SMA_.html

    http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...a_V2_SMA_.html

They are EXACTLY the same as far as I can tell. Except for the whole LHCP/RHCP? Will it matter if I stick 1 LHCP on my goggles and 1 RHCP on my plane?

    Thank you in advance

RHCP and LHCP stand for "right hand circular polarization" and "left hand circular polarization"

You can not mix the two as they are designed to reject the signal from the other. ..

If you have a boscam video transmitter and receiver then you want a "rp-sma" pair and if you have an immersion rc/fatshark video transmitter and receiver then you want a "sma" pair

the lhcp and rhcp does not matter(as long as you dont mix them) as much as the sma or rp-sma aspect as that is the connector type....

I understand what LHCP and RHCP are, but why have two different CP'S? Why did they bother inventing LHCP? Why not have everything RHCP?

The reason for this is that the people wo copied my work did it incorrectly when they started selling. Back when I made the first CP FPV antennas I established RHCP to be the industry standard. Of course, many of the people who copied my work did not pay attention and incidentally made LHCP.

However, the real advantage of mixing polarizations is between pilots to gaim more separation between channels. See this video for this effect:

Mind you that this effect ONLY works with CP antennas with an Axial ratio of .5 or higher. There are only 3 manufacturers I know of that make antennas with this capability. Boscam, Flysight, Immersion, Hobbyking, ect are not among these three.

If it is broken, fix it. if it isn't broken, I'll soon fix that.

There are two now because it allows more people to get in the sky with less interference. Really cool stuff. I was inside a news broadcast truck this morning that used a similar technology for their satellite link for live broadcast.
